PS3 Sale Price

Have you ever tried to find a PS3 on sale? It seems that the demand is high enough that most stores don’t run sales or when they do it’s not much of a discount. It can sometimes be frustrating if you’re on a tight budget.

I’m right there with you! I have tried to justify the item in so many ways for so long. To start building a PS3 fund I thought I would begin by selling my old PS2 games. I’ve even thought about my old jeans in the closet, the ones with holes in them and seem all fashionable and seeing what I could sell them for on eBay. I’ve even gone through my garage looking for tools that I don’t use to sell them online. I even once had a garage sale to sell all my old junk so I could fund the purchase of the PS3. It was hard to justify the time spent after I counted my till and it came up to just over $50. I don’t recommend garage sales as you’ll end up getting less money for your stuff! eBay is a much better way to go as you’ll net more profits.

In days gone by I felt the same way. The PS3 has so much to offer in compared to other gaming consoles. I was sold when I found it was Blu-Ray. Obviously, the games are awesome in HD and I just upgraded my Netflix membership to include Blu-Ray/HD movies as well. Try selling that angle to the wife! Honestly, once we got HD and my wife watched it a few times we really only watch HD shows or movies. At the end of the day it turned out to be easy to persuade her to get the PS3 on every front except the price.

I’ve done some research and what I’ve found is that if you want the best gaming console on the market and you want to play Blu-Ray DVDs there simply isn’t a better value than the PS3. Even when it’s not on sale! You can buy a Blu-Ray DVD player for your movies but it will not play PS3 games. Unfortunately for Microsoft, HD-DVD was not the chosen format going forward and this will ultimately hurt their sales. If at all possible I wanted to get the PS3 at a discount.

I searched on eBay and some other traditional auction sites and found that there really aren’t any PS3 Sale Prices out there. You have to get a bundle with the console, games and accessories that costs way more than just buying a console outright. When I’m trying to spend as little money as possible this just doesn’t work for me.

Ultimately, I had to think outside the box. Somebody told me about unique bid auction sites and I started researching them. There are a few decent ones out there but the one that stands out to me is www.auctions4acause.com. They have more everyday items available for auction, including the PS3, than any of the other sites. The majority of the other sites like it zero in on really expensive things like cars, land and motorcycles. You can pretty it up all you want but I just want the PS3!

After I found that site I know it was exactly what I needed. They had the item I wanted and it was possible for me to get it very cheap. I quickly setup an account on the site. I made 3 entries and hoped I had outsmarted the other bidders. Unfortunately, I didn’t get it the first time. I had to wait until the next one came up for bid. I bid 3 or 4 more times, said my prayers and waited. Bingo! The second time around I won. After a few days I was wrapping up the PS3 as a gift for my nephew. $59 was all I had spent.64. Pretty darn good, huh?

It can take a few minutes of reading to truly grasp the concept of the lowest unique bid auction style. But once you get it, it can be addicting. Since that time that I won the PS3 I’ve bid on and won 3 other items including an iPod Nano (they have the best iPod Prices) and $400 gas card. In total I’ve spent about $350 there and won over $1,200 worth of stuff.

So don’t go searching at Best Buy or Circuit City or Walmart for the best prices on the things you want. You can surely get a great deal when you go register at Auctions4aCause.
